Space Invaders was released in 1978, and is one of the earliest shooting games. It features two-dimensional graphics, and the object of the game is to defeat waves of aliens with a laser cannon and earn as many points as possible. I remember playing this game in the arcade, and it seemed so technologically advanced at the time. The graphics obviously don’t compare to the realistic games of today, however, it has received the distinguished honor of becoming one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Games” due to it’s cultural impact.

I’m not usually a fan of shooting games, but this one is fun! It’s a great stress reliever after a long day. Obviously there is violence in this game, but it’s not as graphic as other games which is ideal for me, because I just enjoy the challenge, I don’t need to see the blood and guts (although there is a little blood)! I found myself sitting here trying to beat my previous high score. These games really can be addicting!

Most Beautiful Woman In The World
She has no special talent
No special beauty mark
No invention with a patent
No voice of a comely lark
No hourglass physique
No sunbeam likened smile
No lingering mystique
No manicured nails to file
But what she had she flaunted
With the style of a fur-lined stole
With the chic of a runway model
She flashed her beautiful soul

Spies Like Us is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again, and it’s funny every time! There are so many funny scenes in this movie, that it was hard to decide which one to post. Take a few minutes to enjoy this classic scene of Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd cheating on the exam!

Today I smiled, and all at once
Things didn’t look so bad
Today I shared with someone else
A bit of hope I had
Today I sang a little song
And felt my heart grow light
And walked a happy little mile
Without a cloud in sight
Today I worked with what I had
And longed for nothing more
And what had seemed like only weeds
Where flowers at my door
Today I loved a little more
And complained a little less
And in the giving of myself
I forgot my weariness
